Modus Operandi

Colored pencil

A small graphic for the Play.net game title, Modus Operandi--which takes place in a tropical paradise with an astonishing crime rate. The image is colored with colored pencil, but I opted to smooth the flower petals out in Photoshop...the coloring was a bit rough as I was working with a tight time constraint...unfortunately, I think it made the petals look a bit like plastic. Nevertheless, I sort of like the contrast of the pistol on top of the Hibiscus-facsimile flowers.
